We got to sleep in (well, Christine did)!
Kay made us wheat blueberry muffins for breakfast. Delicious!
After, Kay, mom and I went out shopping for the day. Kay took us to the farmers co-op she belongs to so mom could get some Georgia peaches to bring home.
Hoping for some jam to be made (hint, hint mom).
We also hit, among other places, the dollar store so we could get some feather boas and such; as we promised Kelly we would again meet her and Jay at the bus stop.
While we were out Grover also had his pic taken with the Chick-fil-a cows.
Christine also asked we get her a coffee while out but, when we got to Dunkin Donuts this is what we found.
Grover also found this shirt but they didn't have it in his size (furry)
We went home and got ready to meet the kids at the bus stop.
Included:crazy hats, glasses, flutes, maracas, boas and silly string.
Of course we had time for a selfie at the bus stop while waiting.
When the bus came, Kelly ran off like a chicken but Jay stuck it out like the good sport he is. No lie, kids were saying they wishes they had aunts like us and begged us to silly string them. Jay was hanging his head in shame but we know he enjoyed it!
He was especially happy when we made him put on a hat.
For dinner we went to a Japanese steakhouse called Shogun. It was mom, Christine, and Super G's first time in a Japanese steakhouse. There was obvious shock on G's face when the first flames shot up.
Although Chef Richy toon a while to warm up to Grover, we eventually got a pic of them together. He was very excited when he learned G talks!Driving home I looked in the rear view and this is what I saw
Yep, mom and Kelly were wearing our driving hats!
So we got home, packed up and hit the road!
Let the driving begin!
Forgot quote of the day yesterday: If y'all can't stay out of trouble- stay out of jail
